I am Prafulla. I am currently an UX/UI Designer at Lollypop Design Studio in Bengaluru. I graduated from the Human Computer Interaction Design masters program at the Indiana University, Bloomington. Before starting my masters program, I worked at Ericsson India Global Services Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, as a telecommunications engineer for three years. I did my undergrad in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
In our masters program, we have worked on projects of varying type, constraints and industry sectors. We worked with clients from small start ups to large corporations on the challenges they face in their work. The projects really made us think about what we were doing. We learnt big picture thinking, how to bring constraints to narrow down the problem space, how to think deeply about your core, & the importance of iteration. As I worked on these projects, my understanding of design and my ability to work with other people has improved.
I have also been introduced to anthropological and philosophical conceptualizations of human experience where in we have studied works of Dewey, Csikszentmihalyi, Borgmann and many others. Here we have also worked on projects where we were creating an experience instead of just an interface.
I have also taken classes in visual image making and graphic design and am familiar with the principles affecting them. I can utilize this knowledge to create interfaces that are visually engaging.
